Faulk to Boston and MORE

Description
So I started out doing this Mock as a Hannifin to Boston one. While researching this possibility I came across quite a few articles that suggest Carolina is likely to keep Hannifin and move Faulk instead. Here is a good article of how things are for Carolina:
https://cardiaccane.com/2017/12/03/carolina-hurricanes-3-reasons-trading-faulk-is-the-right-move/

Knowing that Faulk would be the player acquired in a F for D swap with Carolina, Carlo becomes expendable as a top 4 RHD.

After that I did the obligatory casting off the paper-machey (SP?) Adam McQuaid, I turned to gaining size at F and skill at D.
I like Nutivaara and Anderson quite a bit. Carlo and Spooner are great too, but I think Anderson is what we were looking for from Backes.
I think these moves make us more of an offensive team in totality, but the Cherry on top of this would be if Chara came back. Having Grzelcyk as the 7th defenseman as well as having Czarnik as the 13th forward would make me very happy to start the 2018 season. Those are 2 guys who have been very solid in the lineup so it'd be a luxury to have them outside the starting lineup.

Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Faulk, Justin
  2. McGinn, Brock
Additional Details:
Faulk is more offensive than Carlo. We have bottom pair defensive muckers in Miller and McQuaid as righties.

McGinn is a bottom 6 guy who could make replace a potential loss of depth as UFA's. If Nash leaves there could be a slot for him maneuvering players around. At the very worse he'd be an excellent 13th forward.
CAR
  1. Heinen, Danton
  2. 2019 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
The 2017-2018 season could end up as Heinen's Career best year. I don't mind moving him for Faulk if we in turn move Carlo for a LHD.
2.
BOS
  1. 2019 4th round pick (DAL)
3.
BOS
  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
RFA Markus Nutivaara
CBJ
  1. Carlo, Brandon
  2. Spooner, Ryan
Additional Details:
This trade is like flipping assets. Boston gets the bigger tougher winger and CBJ gets the bigger tougher defenseman. All 4 of these players are quality. I'd like more coming to Boston in this deal, but am hesitant to do so because I like these 2 players.

Absolutely no need to trade Heinen right now. His rookie season will not be his best season

Carolina is willling to trade Faulk even while they are in a playoff spot. But they would get a better return. They need a top 6 center. Heinen is better suited as winger in the Nhl. They could get Nugent-Hopkins for Faulk easily enough. Columbus isn’t moving Anderson who they like for Carlo. They are set in their top 2 RD for awhile with Jones and Savard. While the offer is fair it does nort serve a need for CBJ. Neither of these moves helps the other teams involved.

Heinen for Faulk????

I’ve seen some “homer” trades on here,
and this is among the worst

Carolina will get way more

I don't think you made this team better...in fact you traded two young promising players for a guy whose a year away from being a UFA and a guy whose already held out once because of contract terms. Doesn't seem like a smart move

Only McGinn who isn't an essential piece is 1 year away from UFA.... this is a 2018-2019 thread and the deals happen in the 2018 offseason. That would mean everyone has 2 full seasons until they can walk, but that very fact is almost irrelevant given Boston's strong core and Sweeney's track record of resigning's. Who wouldn't want to re-sign at fair money?

I don't mind if you don't like moving Carlo and Heinen, but don't make it sound like it was a 2 for 2 where we got back "a guy whose a year away from being a ufa and a guy who's already held out once because of contract terms." Those aren't even factual terms at all given that Josh Anderson held out and got less than 2M per so the very fact he held out has no credibility the way you are implying it and he's also an RFA at his current contracts conclusion... lol and Faulk is 2 full seasons from having the ability to walk. You chose to make this a 2 for 2 type trade and somehow managed to just oversee the difference between Nutivaara and Spooner in value. Nutivaara is a better asset than Ryan Murray and would probably cost a 1st rounder from CBJ, while many Bruins fans have gone on record saying they'd take a playoff 2nd for Spooner before he came back from injury. Funny how you decided to omit that part of the factual evidence and kinda just twisted information into something that suited your means.
