Description

RDS thinks that Nashville missing piece might be Pacioretty. This afternoon ,french analyst from rds were saying that Pacioretty to Nashville is a possibility knowing that many phone call regarding Montreal captain were made.

Marc Bergevin might ask for 3 assets:

-High Draft Pick (1st rd or couple of 2nd rd)
-High end prospect
- A good NHL forward or defensemen.

- If you guys say that this price is too high for a guy like Max Pacioretty, then you're very wrong. Max Pacioretty is a 5 time 30+ goals scorer and 60+ points. All this WITHOUT A REAL #1 CENTER. If he goes elsewhere , he will explode. In addition, look at his damn contract, 4.5m for this season and next season. That is a steal. He is having a bad year and everyone in Cap-friendly (ARMCHAIR-GM) thinks this guys is worth a 3rd rd pick with some no names ahlers and a NHL 3rd line center.

I like the value but no center is an issue. Ariana and Tolvanen both play wing.

Does Pacioretty have an extension in place? If not, I don’t see NSH doing this. Giving up way too much for 1.5 years of a player.

Way too much for nashville to trade. Fiala has a future and tolvanen might be real good.

Maybe nashville trades 1st, janrkrok + something else.

I like the two players Habs are getting back but I can't see Nashville paying that much for only a year and a half of Patch. But also the bigger problem is no center for the Habs, they absolutely need to get a C back for Patch since they couldn't do it with Sergachev, and there's no top end C in the upcoming draft. A C for Patch now is the Habs' only real chance to address a 2 decade old problem

Pacioretty is a great scorer, don't get me wrong, but Tolvanen is too good a prospect to give up. He's scoring at a unprecedented rate for an 18 year old in the KHL. Doesn't mean he'll be that here, but there's a good chance. Nashville says no

Tolvanen is a stud, and a steal for the 2017 draft. Fiala is already a Top 9 guy with Top 6 upside + a 2018 1st. Way way way too much for Patches...
You'd get 1 of the 3 + something along the lines of 2nd/Lesser Prospect
