At first I was like no Idiot don't trade Dahlin but this trade actually seems ok.

Ristolainen is top rhd for canucks, mittelstadt is also great and a 5th can all help canucks right now and the future.

Canucks trade away Dahlin a franchise D, a high 2nd (almost 1st), Adam gaudette who is point leader in NCAA, kole Lind Who is 3rd in pts per game in the WHL.

Only correction I'd make is adding Virtanen and then it's fair. Not like they need him when their roster is that stacked.

Canucks top 6 looks bonkers and their top 4 D are solid. When demkos ready there may be no beating this team.

That 1st unit Power play would destroy any team, 4 elite players in Pettersson Mittelstadt Boeser and Ristolainen. GG

    Good work bud

Mittelstadt is a stud. Risto is over rated 5th overall will still be a great pick.

Dahlin is probably the best D in the nhl in 2-3 years. Lind is a good prospect don’t know guadette.

I’d take the best player and that’s dahlin by a mile. Then mittelstadt.

    Not a terrible trade though.

Two former 8oa that are playing as expected and a 5oa in a deep draft is too much. The sabres have holes all over their roster, normally im all for acquiring the best player- which dahlin may end up being, but eventually we have to win some games and overall we are a worse team for doing this. I would politely decline, but considering how unusual it would be to trade a 1oa that has such high expectations, its probably fair value.

I respectfully decline. Too many pieces coming from Buffalo for just Dahlin. Mittlestadt is a pure stud atm and Risto is playing almost 30 minutes a night every season. He's the best we got right now. At 5th overall we can still draft a quality player (Tkachuk, Boqvist, Hughes, etc..) This trade would just hurt Buffalo's future IMO. Quality attempt though.

I can already hear Botterill laughing, no way in hell. Not only do the Sabres take a step back on d they also give up their best offensive prospect. That would literally set the franchise back years. And the Sabres have to give up their first rounder too. ROFL. If the Sabres were trading any of those pieces they would have to bring back a lot, LOT more.
