Not enough for Brassard. Petans value outside the organization is small unfortunately and Danos value has been completely sunk by having him in the PB pretty much all year. Brassard is also not a rental so likely would have to remove petan and add Roslovic to get OTT to bite as he's the prospect other teams are interested in but especially in this case where you're taking their #1/#2 C. The Halak deal doesn't really make much sense for either club. Isles would want him for the same reason so I'd just reverse that deal but the Franson deal makes sense as he did just pass through waivers.

I personally think that the deal for Brassard is an overpayment. Brassard is beginning to leave his prime years, and by sending 2 B prospects + 2 high round picks for 1.5 yrs of Brassard is an overpayment imo. A 1st + B Prospect is likely what Ottawa is looking for. Ottawa would likely want that prospect to be either a RH defenseman or a winger. I could see Stanley + 2nd in 18 or 19 for Brassard

Brassard is doubted to be available. Ottawa apparently intends to keep him, so it would take an overpayment.

@YoungGM

Franson had good numbers, but was also insanely sheltered. I don't know what Quenneville didn't like about his game, but it's obvious he didn't trust him defensively. Might have been as simple as Franson not adjusting well to his system or doing what was expected to him.
He's a good candidate to have an impact as a depth player on another team, vs calling up an unseasoned rookie when you get into trouble.

I agree but I don't think that the jets need a Dman. That is my opinion on the jets but I also like the way franson plays.

From what I gather, the Jets would like a tough minutes 3rd line center. Plekanec might be their best bet.

Yes, I also think that they need a guy like that and maybe a trade with the sens could work. (Zack Smith)

I like the idea of Plekanec. He also played for Maurice in the World Cup. I like Smith's game and he's a rugged C with playoff experience

Franson would be a low risk depth move. He would most likely fall behind Chiarot and Poolman in the depth chart but would be a nice option if injuries happened

Brassard was dealt two years ago for Zibenijad and a 2nd rounder. He was coming off back to back 20 goal seasons and was a budding top 6 C. Brassard's value has gone down IMO based on only have 2 more years. The jets could add more prospects like a Lemieux etc, but they wont deal Rosolovic...that wouldn't make sense IMO.
The more I read and think about it I think adding a Plekanec type player (UFA, defensive minded) opposed to a Brassard type. He'd cost less and you wouldn't need to worry about his salary next season
