Rumours say Marc Bergevin countered that offer for 2 firsts Carter Hutton and Thomas

Although I really doubt this will ever happen unless price requests a trade.

Probably MTL media trying to stir the pot

I have trouble believing that Price counter offer. That's a 2019 and 2020 1st. If you're going to kick off a rebuild, it doesn't make sense to take 1st rounders 1 and 2 years down the road.
If the 2020 1st was another prospect, I'd find it more plausible, even if I'm against the entire idea.

Mtl should be all over a trade like this. Thomas is a real good prospect. And a C. And replacing price with a good youngish Goalie and s first. Plus shedding that salary.

Imagine the pressure on Allen and Thomas to replace the legendary Price. Wow. And really the pick might be 25 or even higher, not real substantial.

Then STL should take it. If the get Price they will still be legit contenders
