How I Would Handle TDL

Created by: DwigtSchnute
Team: 2017-18 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 3, 2018
Published: Feb. 3, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I see the youth getting at least a round of playoff experience as well as some additional assets as more valuable than keeping all these players and maybe getting an extra round or 2 of experience.
Trades
1.
TOR
    Future Considerations
    WPG
    1. Martin, Matt
    Additional Details:
This could really be anyone, just picked a team I thought might need to protect their young players.
    2.
    TOR
    1. Jones, Max
    2. 2018 1st round pick (ANA)
    Additional Details:
1rst is Top 10 Protected, if it is a top 10 pick then it defers to 2019.

Conditional 2nd 2019: If JVR re-signs with Anaheim then the Leafs receive the 2nd aswell.
    3.
    TOR
    1. 2018 2nd round pick (PIT)
    4.
    TOR
      Future Considerations
      NJD
      1. Polák, Roman
      Additional Details:
Again could be any team, but I don't see the Leafs needing him.

That's a thought, just don't understand why the Leafs are the only playoff team that are sellers at the TDL. Sorta sends a bad message to the team. And those picks will take years to develop if at all.

I get that, but i think losing players for nothing and not really getting much in return is that great, it's a matter of preference in my opinion.

HAHAH. Your insane if you think Anaheim does that trade. What a joke. Anaheim blocks Toronto.

EDIT: Your name literally is insane wolf...

I don't understand it either. Playoff teams are usually looking to add a players to make them better, not get rid of guys because they might walk away at the end of the year. It would be different if Tor was on the fringe of the Playoffs, but they are solidly in the top-3 of the Division.

If the Leafs wants to be a really playoff team. Morgan Reilly has to go. He hasn't done anything. In 47 games this year he has 41 give away that let to goals. He been on the ice with 53 against. Defence? What defence? Leafs play better when he not in the line up. Stats don't lie.
