I really doubt St louis does the trade with the Rangers, that a massive overpayment for a UFA and an aging d-man, especially when they could those assets for someone like Hoffman. But to make it a tad better, you could make the conditional pick for and if Grabner resigns with STL

I would add Walman to the deal and take away a draft pick. I've thought this exact deal going down actually

Take out Gunnarsson, Barbashev, and the condition on one of the 2nds and add one of your "big 4" prospects.

Are you alright today ? Gunnarson is worthless to the rangers, barbeshev is a 22 year old prospect struggling in the Ahl, fabbri hasn't even played this season? oh and a late first rounder ? Grabner gets a first rounder himself. Mcdonagh will get double this package

agreed-- gunnarsson was probably only added to even cap, but rangers would want kotsin or kyrou along with a first rounder and a conditional second round pick of making it to the conference finals-- and thats just for McDonagh. That would be a deal the rangers would take.

I'm not saying your offer is bad, but as the rangers can resign mcdonagh after next year, they don't NEED to trade him. It's going to take an out of the park offer for the rangers to pull the trigger on a trade for him. Think of what sakic did with duchene, it's going to be a similar type thing.

Now Grabner could go for barbashev. but i would rather another 1st round pick for him
JT_Miller liked this.

I think less picks and more prospects make the deal better.

I made an acgm with the same players from Rangers (McDonough, Grabner)
for Fabbri, Bouwmeester, Kyrou, Walmen and a 1st.
