Team: 2017-18 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 6, 2018
Published: Feb. 6, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
OTT: This is rumor out there

CAR: If Rick Nash's value is a 1st, 2 prospects and a roster player, then AA should be able to get a top prospect and a few picks from a team who needs a center.

WSH: This trade could go to anyone, it's just to get rid of Bouma.

Not sure where you're getting Rick Nash's value but Carolina isn't giving up Jake Bean++ for Anisimov. If they move him, it would be in a package for someone who will actually make an impact on their team. They already have enough 2.5C guys

Agree for the most part, disagree on 1 point. Agree that Nash isn't getting close to what was said in the description. Agree that Anisimov won't get this package. I disagree that CAR has enough forwards in general even @ the 2.5C rate which is probably accurate for Anisimov at this point. CAR could REALLY use some net front presence to allow talent distribution among more than 2 lines. IF CAR are truly buyers...which I'm not sure they are...BUT i'd try to get creative. Add more pieces from CHI, maybe if they're unhappy with Darling work something out where we take him back. We also have to keep in mind AA's partial NMC.

***EDIT*** it is interesting to see that Bouma is practicing with the 2nd line. I'm not sure who Bowman thinks he's fooling with 2nd line, but he's definitely going to get traded somewhere! That conversation of...would you like to get traded...yeah that's already happened with Bouma.

Nash's value is according to Elliot Friedman, and if Nash is going for that value why can't AA go for Bean and a few picks. I do agree that CAR might not be the destination, but this is the return I think the Hawks could get based on the value of the other players on this years market.

How do 2 terrible defensemen get you a 2nd line Left Winger? The funny thing is Kempny is probably the better of the 2 and he can't even make the roster most nights... I'm sure Bowman is putting all his calls on hold to take this one. You know just because you have spare parts doesn't mean they are valuable to another team. The whole reason they're not valuable to you make them not valuable to everyone else too. IJS

@ajw0066 I just disagree with Elliot Friedman that's all. Nash's point totals the last 5 years...42, 39, 69, 36, 38. He's supposed to be a scorer. He's tracking for a whopping 38 points this year. So tracking for 5 out of 6 years sub 40 point play. Again, he's a scorer. It's not like he provides defensive ability or a physical presences or crazy speed or any face off advantage...in fact he's terrible there. He's stunk for a very long time and sneaks by on his pedigree for being the #1 overall 16 years ago and his Olympic play.

HOWEVER, i will caveat this with that it is the TDL. and if Nash is worth that package then AA should be worth (2) 1sts. which is also crazy, but hey it's the TDL.

You add Anisimov (as the article suggests... go back and re-read it) and Kempny and now you're getting close...

"But based on Jaeckel’s reports, it seems there are a few different things the Blackhawks could do in this case. They could do what Jaeckel reported, and package both Kempny and Gustafsson for an Ottawa roster player. The Senators have several young players signed for a few more years on the cheap (Thomas Chabot, Ryan Dzingel, etc) who could be of interest." This is directly from the article. There is no mention of AA in this section.

The article starts out saying AA can't play 3C without Kane by his side... blah blah blah... it then goes into defense and implies a package deal implicating the aforementioned paragraph about AA... Kempny and Gustafsson would never land Dzingel alone... never...

I would have to disagree based on the tweet used in the article.
