Prospect Roundup

Daniel Sprong
Sprong has 20 goals in 34 AHL games this year. He is above PPG in WBS. Nothing much on Sprong, as he is very well known. He should be getting called up soon.

Jordy Bellerive
What a steal. We didn’t even have to draft Bellerive. Bellerive has 37 goals, 35 assists for 72 points in 51 games. He’s playing on a very bad team. I wouldn’t be surprised if Bellerive makes it to the NHL in two years. This kid is going to be a stud. When I watched him in the rookie tournament, he stood out BIG TIME.

Sam Miletic
Another steal. Miletic has a 27-46-73 line in 47 games this year. He has 11 goals in 12 games since being traded from London to Niagara. He also stood out to me at the rookie tournement.

Andrey Pedan
The big defenseman recently recorded a hattrick, moving his line up to 7-12-19 in 39 games, also while being a positive 17.

Filip Gustavsson
Gustavsson has a 2.30 GAA and a .913sv% in 17 games in the SHL this season. He looks like he will be a future starter, but not for the Penguins . . .

Tom Kuhnhackl in juniors put up 68 points in 63 games in the OHL. To say either player is going to be a stud is a bit premature in my opinion but I do agree they looked good in the prospect camp and both are defiantly putting up impressive numbers.

I’ve watched Bellerive a lot. He’s got that potential. Just saying though . . . Kuhnhackl had a decrease in Junior. He had 29 points in 34 games the next year. Bellerive and Miletic have both improved.

Always tough to see how juniors or even AHLers transform into the NHL game. Leafs have high scoring WHL Brooks, who is likely an never an NHLer, Arizona Connor Garland the same.
We'll be keeping an eye on these players. Thanks for the insight into their play........and your scoutingsmile. In 2025, we can real objective discussion.

Pedan is also pretty quick skater for a guy of his size. The knock on him has always been bad penalties.

I only seen him play for W/B - 2 times this year and really liked his game and keep hearing good things about him. But seems to be the way the Pens organization is going pertaining to the type of d-men they like bc every guy we get could play C in the NBA, lol. I guess its a good idea bc we mostly play stick on puck D , instead of playing the body and with HT of these guys it just adds to the reach for that.
