That trade is a "non, guy" for Detroit. Green is worth more than a 6th D, 2nd, and 4th.

green is the difference making the leafs a cup winner???? then the leafs would certainly give up more. but since he isn't why would the Leafs make the trade

Green is not the guy the Leafs need/want to bring in to take them to the next level. Need more of a two way Dman, or may as well settle for a standard 5/6 at a lot less cost. I think any team would be crazy giving up assets and taking $6M back in cap, so really hope it isn't the Leafs!
