MTL wont re-sign plekky as then MB's head this summer wouldnt be enough
President ,CEO and Owner Geoff Molson would see a lot of pitchforks after the last 2 years.

his only value is now if we keep him we get squat

Pacioretty to Florida makes absolutely zero sense, If he's dealt it will be to a playoff team. Not a non-playoff team like Florida.

If he's traded at the draft Florida might be interested. Adding a veteran scoring winger to their young core in exchange for a prospect could be a move that would make sense for them. Even if it's a short term gain, they really need to make the playoffs next season and adding a 30 goal sniper would help them a lot.

the market for good centers at the trade deadline is thin. theres mark letestu and theirs plekanecs. unless its a really good offer like a 2nd rd pick, mtl should keep him. let him decide if he wants to return or not.

pass he's the old core and we've had a trend since our last cup starting with Brisebois , continuing with Markov and hopefully Ending with Plekky of
keeping players past their prime while ditching the last 80 pt scorer we had Kovalev for him to go to our rival and score 2 hat tricks there that season

i show loyality to those who lead and mentored the youth and plekky like markov and brisebois are guys who kept to themselves and we content with just showing up and skating .

i want Gallagher to be the old Guy leading our offense every player on that offense should work as hard as he does

i understand what u mean. but keeping Plekanecs has nothing to do with age. its his skill set. he's not an offensive player now, but so far this season he's start 67% of his draws in the defensive zone, and is one of the few players to have a plus 1 with a squad playing horrendously. u can ask any player in this league, and they hate playing against him. he's shut down the likes of stamkos, kucherov, eichel, matthews etc this season. and of course the coach loves him as well. oh, as we do have thin center depth, keeping him around for a reasonable price tag doesn't hurt

how's that worked out for us winning those faceoffs so far relying on him ?

exactly and Muller's cut his PK time in half and dumped it on Patches (which is a first never seen before this year )
everyone keeps pretending he's not that bad the truth is that he is outside faceoffs useless on a team built around grit and speed

u stick to ur stats. i'll stick to what i see on the ice. for a team this bad, even if he is above 50% in the dot, i don't mind

i'd rather target Granlund from VAN ,Glendenning (hits and wins high volume faceoffs like plekky but with balls ) or Ryan for CAR as they are superior options to plekky with less cost.
getting Glendenning is 100% the better option all around and totally doable he's undrafted bottom 6 faceoff guy in DET give them player/prospect we dont need they could use and a pick

that the point he isnt out there on the ice for you to see in the situations you claim he's in
his ice time on special team has taken a huge hit and he's being phased out to a 3rd line player
on a team using 2 wingers as center he's a third line player

i totally agree he's a 3rd line winger. if we had depth at center, he's a 4th line winger. but i'd keep him if the price is right. nothing wrong with a danault and pleky bottom 6

but we have players like Jake Evans play 4th C then Plekky
come March he'll be looking for a Roster spot or will Walk as a UFA on AUG.1st like Vesey or Butcher if he doesnt like what MTL has in plan for him .
he's spent his first year as C in the NCAA and is more then a point per game and a Hobey Baker Nominee

i'd rather invest in the youth plus Nattinen who's a regular representative of Team Finland due to his high quality Faceoff Skill is in his third year Liiga with
his offense consistently improving so he's another option to bring over before his rights expire and he is able to sign anywhere. Nattinen isnt a top 6 guy but
as far as riding fourth and winning faceoffs he's deffinately good enough until Bitten or Pazetta or Poehling step up .
