Wait you give up that for a 4th line player? Lol I'd rather just put Leivo in that role.

Thats a future asset and replacement for JvR. Could work well when Nylander moves to centre with Brown on one side and Domi on the other smile

Domi is a young NHL player. Rosen and Rychel are not NHLers. Easy pass from Coyotes. Is Gudbranson any better than Carrick?

Domi's value has also never been lower. Could offer Leivo or Shosh as a replacement for Rychel, but thought ARI would want younger assets. As for Gud, well thats debatable. He's better then Polak thats for sure and thats all I care about

I;m just saying that Arizona would what NHLer, not career minor leaguers. Everybody looks bad in Arizona, I just can't see Arizona giving up on Domi. Except OEL, he somehow has god like status.

OEL is trash. He's having a horrendous season for them. I wouldn't even close to call them Minor leaguers. They are just unproven, and its a bloody hard job to make the leafs. Could A.Brooks, Rosen, and a Cond 3rd might do it, but as I said, its pretty easily to fleece ARI

Rychel and Rosen would be NHLers on the Yotes.

OEL and Keller are their only untouchables. I think OEL wouldn't be cause how can they afford it? Keller for sure isn't going anywhere.

Nothing to do with thread but a question

Matthews started his career in Swiss and got paid. Do you think that comes into account when giving him his contract? Do you think he'd take less then market value cause he's already got money, plus ALL the endorsements deals. Does he take Stamkos money? Toews money? Or does he still take McJesus money?

Haha, I appreciate you asking me! I don't think playing in the Swiss league has anything to do with what money you earn in the NHL. He went over to the Swiss league because he was tired of playing Juniors and actually wanted to play with men and a higher level of competition. I think he'll be getting a crap tonne of endorsement deals when he's named captain... but as for money? I dont think he'll take McDavid money. He looks like he's alot more of a humble kid then Eichel/McDavid and will want to leave money on the table for Willy and Mitch to actually build a contender (Like Crosby did). That being said, I can't see him taking anything less then 10 million AAV. He's a way better player then Eichel and will want more. I think 10-11 is somewhere in the sweet spot

That's somewhat, what I was thinking. 8x10.5?

I don't like the 3rd year on Marleau deal though... unless he retires and we trade the contract, that could be tough to deal with

His money was all signing bonuses. By his 3rd year, his contract will be worth like 1 million. Not too much to worry about with him.

It still counts against the cap though.

Btw Sosh traded to Blues for a 4th
