Realistically Tatar is too old for rebuilding purposes.

I think the Avs can do much better than Tatar and a 3rd in exchange for Barrie. I'm not sure it makes sense to trade for anybody they cannot control for several years given where they are in their life cycle. There are teams that need Barrie right now who will offer up young higher-end prospects and picks, imho.

i dont see colorado making this deal. given how patient sakic was with duchene, im sure COL could wait it out and get a much better offer than this for barrie
