Considering the Boston deal is the least likely to happen that salary retention won't be needed. When moving McD I think we need to look at teams that playoff cusp teams and get some premium returns from them.

Boston would be stealing McD especially if Gorton pays part of his salary...

Now you want Grzelcyk too? These trade offers keep getting pricier and pricier; I don't think you understand how negotiating works. See if the 1st offer was too much for Boston to stomach you either try to find a different trade partner, or come back with a lower bid, or stand your ground and wait for Sweeney to make a move 1st... You don't say "uh too late, you waited too long, the price just went up, lol"

See the thing is, Boston isn't willing to pay that... DeBrusk and Grizz are more valuable to us (as we've been winning with them) than McDonagh who we've been doing fine without (as a matter of fact we're the hottest team in the league right now), so even though McDonagh is worth that, he isn't worth that to Boston... make sense? This is why NYR and BOS aren't suitable partners for a McDonagh trade...

I’d be totally fine if that’s the case, not a huge fan of DeBrusk as the centerpiece of a deal.

The McDonagh trade is based off of the return that the Rangers received from the Keith Yandle trade in 2015

As Bob Murray said: “These price tags, it’s ridiculous. And the pricetags seem to keep going up every year. Whatever.”
