Bruins circa 18/19

Created by: CWagz19
Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 22, 2018
Published: Feb. 22, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Taking a stab at getting some top end talent and cultivating youth on a team with aging veterans.
Is Grabner going to go for more?
Is the OEL trade with Ari fair?
Chara will be somewhere between 3.25M and 4M.
Doby definitely wants some security after a good season backing up Rask,

I am open for suggestions. Thoughts?

How do you figure... please do enlighten me. What part is so ridiculous? If there is a part let me know and I can work on it. I am trading away Krug, Spooner and a 2nd for a guy with 1 year left on his deal. The only other major move is signing Z who isn't going anywhere and Grabner who will get a contract above 3.5M less than 5M

I'd just ignore him lol

For whatever reason he enjoys trolling and taking shots at Bruins fans. He's not going to add any real value to any discussion, so your better off just blocking him now. It's to bad too, because most of the Ranger fans are good, but every fanbase as those few who...well I can't really say without getting in trouble, but you know what I mean.

I like the idea of a deal for oel and krug is a good start but I think arizona wants younger more controlled salary like DeBrusk or heinen or björk back. Idk if they want to have to give spooner 4 mil or so. Krug, DeBrusk and a 1st is probably the start of the conversation

Not terrible by any means. If that is the start of the convo I would try Bjork instead of Debrusk... I think the organization is partial to him. I know I am lol So maybe Krug, Bjork and a 1st (I have a hard time giving a 1st for 1 YL but we do have a wealth of young players I guess we can let someone else have a chance. Maybe a 2nd conditional 1st if he signs?

The only big drawback from oel is having to sign him and Macavoy at the same time. Still you could find worse things to spend 20 mil dollars on.

Ooof yea that is going to be rough. I would say a bridge deal for McAvoy would be ideal but he is the kind of player you can justify not doing that for. Probably 4.5-5.5M on a bridge deal or 6.5-7M on long term contract. (I Hope). OEL will probably pull close to 8M i would think. Either way yes, worse things to spend a lot of money on.

Burning a whole year of his nhl entry deal for 7 playoff games last year was a colossal mistake.

Zona trade is lopsided in Bruins favor. Take out the second from Zona and it still favors B’s but it’s close.

Hmmmm....I swapped out Spooner for Bjork added a 3rd and only asking for a 6th.

Probably have to make Bruins 3rd rounder a 1st. Not sure they would take it but it’s fair value at that point. On paper. But Krug doesn’t carry the value he should in this deal. Only gives them an extra year if service (compared to OEL) and it’s unlikey he’d extend with them. They’d be more interested in prospects and picks. Something they can have long term.
