Not even Chiarelli would take that deal. RNH for Galchenyuk and Lehkonen?

no way we are trading a top prospect a 1st and a medium prospect who is a future 20 goal scorer for a 2nd liner

I would do that trade in a heartbeat. I think you think centers grow on trees. Especially top end ones?

Edmonton has one of the best first 3 center in the ligue but with Maroon gone they don't have a lot of dept at wing.
With a cap space going from 66M to around 76M next year. Moving up a (elite) Center for a 40 goal scorer and a very good and fast winger who's also a 20 goal scorer and a draft pick could be interesting for them. And they save about 3M on cap so they can shop something during UFA like Neal, Perron, Nash, etc... Look at some line that I just made real quick without projecting draft pick and Yamamoto in the line-up
Pacio-McJesus-Neal
Lucic-RNH-Puljujarvi
Byron-Strom-Slepyshev

In my head, this trade made sense for both team. Could be 1st in 2019 instead of late 2nd in 2018 too.

Agreed. Though I'd personally look for a way to remove Juulsen (or Mete) from the equation, because we do have a D problem as well.
