Only Habs fans would want to dump a perennial 30 goal scorer on a sweet cap hit for at best a 2nd line forward and a mid pair D man plus adding two other pieces. This is exactly why you have ZERO chance at Tavares.

May not be the best 4th line but you have a 15-20 goal scorer on it.

Hudon, Danault, Scherbak, and Byron have all been playing in the top 6 this year...to have them in the bottom 6 would be great... the only player i think should be replaced is DLR.

I don't like the FLA trade from a Habs perspective, and I believe there's close to 0% of Tavares being in a Habs jersey. but this roster is clearly better then this years

Just because they are playing in the top 6 doesn’t mean they are top 6 players. There is a reason MTL is nothing but hot garbage.

no but all of those guys can put up 40 point seasons, some have potential to do more, Scherbak and Danault being the 2 that can legit be top 6 guys. So if you have those 4 as part of your bottom 6, they are by no means a "garbage bottom 6"...you just hating

I don’t need to hate, all the French Canadiens do that for me. I’m surprised any player that isn’t French-Canadian would want to play in MTL.

It is actually better for non-francophone... the most of the coverage comes from french media like RDS, TVA sport, and Cogego (radio) so if you don't understand French, there is a lot less noise. Also, Being a cultural minority in North-American, we actually put more pressure on Quebecers to succeed.

Tell that to Pacioretty and Subban. Subban donates 10 million to your hospital but because he is English you ran him out of town.

One of the most belove player on our team - Gallagher- is anglophone. It has nothing to do with that.

1- He was cancerous in the dressing room - was picking "fights" will all the core player ( Patch, Gallagher and others) - that's why nobody was there when he announced his donation.

2- Coach couldn't stand him... would make selfish plays where he would lose the puck in a very crucial moment (aka do a spinorama at the blue line while leading 2-1... loosing the puck, and giving a breakaway to the opposing team).

3- He was putting himself and his brand before the team. He would sometimes miss a team meeting because he was shopping for suits or doing commercials for RW&Co.

4- He strongarmed MB into a 9.5M contract... which he isn't worth.


So the last reason why he was pushed out of MTL is the fact that he speaks English.

as for Patch, the reason the fans want him out, it is because he has no heart when he plays. He goes into 15 games slumps where he is a ghost on the ice.
