few things

1)Åberg is probably one of edm best preforming players right now and he doesnt make the roster?
2) youre in cap hell probably shouldnt be paying carlson 7+ million
3)Lucic is impossible to move............i bet la would even player for player trade you brown for him
4) just trade nug if youre going to waste him at wing

also Gallagher is going to get 30 goals his value is at an all time high......

1)Big fan of Gallagher and who knows what Bergevin thinks of Lucic now but he did see him play with the Boston Bruins for years so he saw him good.
2)Nuge on the top line as a winger is an awesome idea going forward definitely not a waste.
3) Yeah your in cap hell but if you move Kassian and Lucic your not.
4) I could take or leave Aberg as well he’s playing well cause he is this close to not being in the show again

If Vanek's willing to take a deal like that, we might end up keeping him. He's done very nicely for us.

Vanek has shown he can still produce for his age. I was surprised he ended up in Vancouver this season at 2M caphit was a steal

sooo how are you going to move a 6 million dollar contract for the next 5 years for a player who is 30 and will average between 30-40 points? playing with talent players

nug is a center....why waste him at wing? look at malkin and seguin stamkos all centers who hate playing wing......they dont play nearly as well at wing

aberg is out playing 80% of the roster thats really harsh

Did you not read the trade its Lucic plus this years 1st round ~7th oa, RHD prospect, and 2nd round pick for Gallagher, then giving Montreal a 4th round pick to take Kassian

Aberg is playing well, but will likely not outplay the new LWs.. as you see the roster has changed there's better players now

You know how well Aberg is playing,, but Nuge is wasted on wing..? Are you just watching Aberg highlights or are you his cousin? Cause Nuge and McDavid are lighting it up

Nuge has been on the wing for 7 games, he’s put up 4 goals and 5 assist. That’s not a long time but it’s worth trying instead of trading him for just a winger. He can always be slotted back at Center if they need him too.
Lucic... sure that’s a tough sell and we are probably stuck but if there’s a few GMs who might trade for him Bergevin would be one of them. Wouldn’t be the first time he traded a younger more skilled player for someone on the back end of their career

Aberg is okay but he didn’t do much a few games ago when he was on the top line with Mcdavid

honestly i would trade nug for a top 3-4 d man for a reasonable price......similar to how nash go ryan jo for seth jones

If my memory serves me correctly.. Nuge for Seth Jones was highly rumoured before Columbus trade happened

This would be another Hall-Larsson trade which isn't what the oilers need currently, we have plently of 3-4D at reasonable prices

It was turned down then because Nugent wasn't seen as good enough, and the gap has only gotten wider - much wider - since.
