Lindholm is not going to be a true a #1 center. You're giving too much anyway. Price itself is (still) worth that package. Look for Martin Necas, their top C prospect. That's your target !

Sorry to chime in but price himself doesn't get all three assets but this is a decent trade offering

Let's skip talking about value here and go straight to payroll. The Canes are a budget team, and paying 1 player 1/7th of your entire salary budget seems like a bad plan. Carey Price is great, but naw...

Lindholm would be at worst a good #2 C, so a better fit than Drouin, at worst he falls to 2C if one of the kid develops into 1C, solves your Ld problem as well.

If I'm montreal, I do this in a hearthbeat

I could see that Carolina trade working for both sides, but I suspect the Canes would want to try some other tactic first - like picking up Raanta in free agency or something.

value wise, that's a pretty decent trade on both sides.

It's impossible not to read your ACMG team name without hearing that squeaky Bettman voice in my head.
