wouldnt Boqvist be a far better fit given your needs at RD?
i mean if you get 1st like anyone take the LD Dahlin but Boqvist is a strong 2nd choice .
plus Boqvist's offense scoring upside side would be a good fit for CHI

I doubt Raanta agrees to be once again the 2nd goalie of Blackhawks. But the trades are decent.

No, that doesn't work for the Jackets. We can't take on Anisimov without sending salary back, and it doesn't profit us all that much if the salary in question is Boone Jenner's RFA contract - particularly if he signs at the rate you're suggesting. Admittedly I don't know much about Rutta other than what I can look up quickly, but we don't exactly have a pressing need for blueliners and presuming both JJ and Cole leave he'd be the oldest defenseman on the team so there's not exactly much room for improvement, so that doesn't seem like much of an incentive. Better try than most, but still pass.

Hawks can't afford to pay over $9,000,000 on two goalies
