Two former first rounders for a overpaid player. Arizona just like the Sens, don't want Ryan. You can't give Ryan away even at 25% retention.

Arizona has nothing on RW and has plenty of cap space. Ryan is still very useful if he can stay healthy. The retention would likely have to be slightly more though.

Assets are going the wrong way in this one. Why would the poorest team in the league take on that boat anchor of a contract, unless a significant sweetener was offered to make it worth their while?

If the Coyotes need help on the right wing, why not sign Vanek or Bozak in UFA, draft Svechnikov, or rush Merkley to the show? All of those options should be able to match Ryan's 33 points for a lot less money.

Sens might be able to convince the Yotes to take Ryan, but it won't come cheap, so it might not be worthwhile.
