Ellis will probably have more value since he is a very cheap top 4 defenseman. Poile I think said that he was not interested in moving his top 4 at all too.

Except that he is a ufa and they will have trouble signing him.

Probably will get 4.5-5 mil. Nashville could handle that I bet based on Poile being a wizard lol. But yeah, true.

There are packages that could get Poile to move Ellis before it's time to try to extend the guy. That absolutely is not one of them. Nashville doesn't need additional LDs and Girgensons adds nothing to that roster.

I have similar sources pointing out that he also has said he's not trading any of his top-4, full stop.

they dont have the cap to resign all the players they would like and when you add in the picks for a d man they may have to pay six plus for then it could work out

and scandella was one of the best shot blocking defense man in the league all year
