Tarasenko is a better player than Hoffman. The blues probably wouldn't make that trade straight up, let alone add their 2nd best prospect and another decent piece.

For advice, I'd say find a first major piece and then work from there to even out that value in a way that makes sense for both sides.

For example, if it's Hoffman to STL (I think they will pursue him) then the main piece should (hopefully) be Fabbri or Kyrou. Kyrou and a 1st is good value for Hoffman. The blues may need to add a roster player making a decent amount if money to even out the cap. Sens may need to add a mid-round or a B- Prospect. If Fabbri is the main piece, then the picks might change Because of his knee injuries. It's say Fabbri+2nd+Cap Dump+A conditional 1st (Sens only get the 1st if Fabbri misses 25 games due to his knee)

I'd say Sobotka is the best bet to move cap as they have some guys like Thompson and Kostin and Barbashev to take his spot for cheaper.

So Hoffman+(small add) for Kyrou+Sobotka+1st
Or Hoffman+(Small add) for Fabbri+Sobotka+2nd+Conditional 1st.
