Why? Talbot is a solid starter, Draisitl and a 2nd has a good value for Karlsson, and Larsson is Hoffman. On top of that you get a bobby Ryan cap dump

what? sens should be so happy just to get rid of Ryan.
from. the oilers, 31m for three players. the cap doesn't even work next year as shown by this post, and when ek gets 3.5m raise it works even less. holtby, he's average best now. you can't find a better goalie for 6m without trade so many good assets? looks like chiarelli is on cap friendly

Why? I'm a sens fan but I can see this deal working out for both teams. This is a deal that gets done if we win the lottery and that's it. Id like to see that second round pick turn into a 1st, wouldn't add Ceci to the deal either but all in all, this is a solid deal for both teams depending on the situation

No interest in Talbot unless you take Anderson or Condon.

Also, yeah I agree with your values for Karl and Hoffman. But why do we add Pageau and Ceci for Talbot? That's where it's way off for me.

Bobby's deal is bad but if he could stay healthy he's still a top 6. We're not trading 5 of our like 9 best players for Drai Larsson and a meh goalie

I would say that it is an over-payment for Holtby and a little bit of an underpayment in the other deal.

I agree! People don't understand that Bobby is actually a really good player that is overpaid. IMO his value goes way up if the Sens are willing to retain money. I would do Hoffman-Karlsson for Draisaitl-Larsson and maybe a pick.

10/10 would not do this trade if I was Ottawa. I think you're underestimating the value that Ottawa puts on Pageau and Ceci. Feels like you threw them in as afterthoughts. They've also said that rumours about adding Ryan to a Karlsson trade weren't true so I would have a really hard time seeing them going back on that and doing a trade with both of them now. Don't think Ottawa is interested in adding a goalie rn either.
