Pretty sure ELCs are 3 years...
Only Isles’ fans would think De Haan’s value is good enough to make that EK trade fair, especially with them retaining on Ryan. If u were shootin for realistic, u were good other than those 2 points.

you would probable have to add a top prospect to that like Bellows or Dal Colle. EK will be traded but the price will look steep, as they will need to recoup from Duchene trade.

"Only Isles’ fans would think De Haan’s value is good enough to make that EK trade fair"? Most Isles fans hate De Haan lol

People are gonna say that’s not enough for holtby but I think it’s a good trade. Caps shed cap space and goalies already have a low trade value as it is. If holtby gets beat by pens (again) that’s not gonna help his value

That´s not enough for Holtby...They don´t need any more goalie prospects so put a 1st rounder or Bellows instead of Soderstrom and we´re set.

Yeah I guess that makes sense is Soderstrom and Sorokin and Samsonov are all starter-potential goalies. I’d honestly trade Soderstrom to Carolina or La or someone with not a lot of goalie depth.
Now, if the Caps needed a G, this would totally b fair value.
M_Swann liked this.

why is ufa dehaan even considered in a trade. so the isles get EK for a year then he's a ufa, and no money to sign him. EK to Isles makes no sense. EK to a contender, yes.

Isles can be a contender very easily. They need solid goaltending and defense. They were top of the league on goals
