Habs take a C at that draft spot. Personally I really like Veleno (I feel that he has the physical maturity, skating ability and 2-way smarts to play in the NHL next season), but there should be a few others available too.

Patch worth more than that... If we're trading him for a pick, it should be 5-8.

I'm not so sure, he only has 1 year left on his contract, is about to be 30 years old and will be expensive to keep. A pick in the 10-12 range would be a solid return. Most of the teams drafting in the 5-8 range need defenseman too and there will be lots of good ones available there, so I don't think they'll pass up on that. NYI has two picks so they might be more willing to give one up for a roster player. And anyways what really counts for the Habs is that there are still centers available, which there should be at that spot given the make up of this year's draft.

He is going to end up being traded at deadline for late 1st, 2nd, and a prospect. Yes, he was elite scorer but he is over 30 and declining. Easily take #12, maybe Dal Colle could be Ho-sang or Nelson instead
