Description
should playoff teams be able to aqire non playoff teams players for the remainder of the season. teams would still have to be salary cap compliant. just imaginable the haul the Oilers would've got for half a year of mcdavid on his rookie deal. non playoff teams get more assets to become more competitive in the future and their players get playoff experience. and some real super teams would be made for playoffs. just wanna hear some of your thoughts. An EX. of the Loan would be The pittsburgh penguins trade a first round pick to Arizona at the deadline and in return they receive Clayton Keller for the rest of the season and playoffs. after playoffs Arizona keeps the pick and gets Keller back for next season. penguins essentially trade first for a rental winger and Arizona adds assets without losing anything. Plus Keller gets valuable playoff experience and Arizona fans have a reason to watch the playoffs to root for their players

You mean how like Matt Moulson was loaned to San Diego or how Mark Fayne was loaned to Springfield? What do you mean by loans?

And what would arizona get if OEL get if he were to have a career ending injury??? Also you made it to this point with the players you have so why would you want to mess that up and say this player is better then you so you sit even though you played 82 regular season games..... also it would basically turn into two all star teams playing each other at the end of the season..... sorry but stupid....

GM's wouldn't do it. I don't want my player who I'm paying getting bruised and beaten to help someone else win a cup. Also lets say I'm the Islanders. someone offers me a 4th to borrow Clutterbuck, and he gets brained by someone like Tom Wilson. Now my guy is out for god knows how long with a concussion. No GM is going to take that risk with an asset they will still control
