Waddell’s trades w/MTL,ANA

Created by: CanesQue
Team: 2018-19 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: May 10, 2018
Published: May 10, 2018
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
CAR trades #1 LHD to play with Weber, Middle 6 center, and RW prospect to MTL. The former 5OA pick has gone through his growing pains, become an All-Star and is now ready to be mentored by Shea. All of that in exchange for the 3OA and a modest cap dump in Alzner. They follow that up with a trade with ANA for more size and grit, while giving ANA a young, multiple 30+ goal scorer.

I have to think Habs would do this.
I think you would have to drop the 2018 1st before Anaheim considers. you are only trading 1 year of Skinner
I have to think Hanifin gets somewhere around 4.5-5 million per season, give or take, but maybe more like 4-5 years

Whah?? if the 3rd OV was worth all that, the trade would of been signed the second Bill Daly said "with the 3rd overall selection in the 2018 NHL draft goes to the Mo.."

With Anaheim's 23rd ova, you should pickup Marin Kaut, put him with Zadina and Necas. Scary Czech line lol.

CAR could add a conditional pick based on Skinny resigning or not.

your trades are interesting because carolina got ripped off by montreal, followed by ripping off anaheim. carolina is going to make some changes but this hurts the defense a lot while not really improving their offense that much. at the end of the day, these trades don't get them to the playoffs next year.

hanifin for 3OA + juulsen + 3rd round pick/another top prospect seems more reasonable.

personally, I'd rather have silfverberg than skinner, but they probably have a much more similar value so adding a 1st round pick is too much in either direction.

So you’d prefer Silfverberg, barely 2x 20goal scorer > Skinner, 3x 30 goal scorer, Calder Trophy winner, and 2 years younger? Ok, that’s certainly your prerogative.

This was quite funny, I needed that one! It made me have a flashback to youth hockey.

The minute I stop giving my honest opinion, is the minute I'll stop coming here. Don't let the haters get you down. If your honesty make sense, people will agree. cheers

Anaheim wouldn’t include the pick, but would include Silfverberg and Jones.

I like skinner but I'm concerned about his injury history and the fact that his actual production won't be worth what he will be paid. I think silfverberg is a decent 2nd line wing and will probably be paid as such, while skinner will end up being paid like a top winger, when he probably isn't. I'd rather have silfverberg at $4.5M/year than skinner at $7M. just my opinion.
