Nice!! I think this is a very realistic CF-GM Roster. Especially the signings.

I'm pretty sure you're undervaluing Lindholm... there isn't much of a chance for that deal to happen in my opinion

Van passes. Not that Gagner is all that great, but Russell sucks and the Canucks already have too many Dmen, so the 3rd rounder isn't enough incentive.

Please adjust the Lindholm trade, its way off. If you think Lindholm is a top 6, chances are so do the canes or anyone else for that matter. Would you want to trade a top 6 young FW for a 2nd and 3rd and Slepy?

Lindholm is the same age as Slepy and miles away better. A simple 2nd and 3rd doesn't compensate for the difference.

The Canes have RFA's Lindholm, TVR, Hanifin, Dahlbeck, Nordstrom & Guiseppe to sign this off-season, they also have Pesce and Slavins contracts kicking in. They will have a rookie max deal on their roster most likely (Zadina or Svechnikov) and the following year have Teravainen, Aho and McGinn to sign. So i feel there may be a situation to grab a talented young player from a bottom spender with their future cap increase
With being said perhaps the price point for Lindholm is higher but how much higher? I'm not giving up a first round pick for him with expansion looming. would a top prospect plus the 2nd rounder and a third be better or do you need to upgrade both picks to 2nds?

This isn't the farmers market. You can't haggle. I'm not sure who you are trying to convince here, me or yourself.....

If you won't pay an honest price for a good player, someone else will. How much higher will depend on whose interested and by my account there are plenty of teams that would be interested in a 23 year old Lindholm. If its 10 minutes to roster freeze before an expansion and a player like Lindholm is not protected, you could definitely try for a lowball offer but the odds are the Canes aren't going to wait till the last minute to figure out what they will do with Lindholm.

They have tons of cap space nad plenty of replacements sitting in the wings so moving players with value now, isn't a problem. Canes are far from in a cap crunch.

A 2nd and a 3rd can get you a 3rd line player. Adding Slepyshev is almost worthless. He's a KHL bound player whose not really proven anything in the NHL yet. There is a reason every EDM agm is moving this guys in all of their trades. No one is interested in Slepy that much.
