the only reason the oilers would trade leon is for cap space. petry is kinda meh. fucale is just another ahler or echl goalie, byron has just a year left on till being ufa. and you expect the oilers to give up probably the best pick also. easy pass from the oilers.

U HAVE HAVE ALOT OF 1ST OVERALL ,AND HAD GIFTED MC JESUS ,,,BUT NOW YOU HAVE CIRELEA OR WHAT EVER HIS NAME , HE TRADES 2 OF YOUR BEST PLAYERS , I REALLY DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE TO TELL YAH

Hall was the only good player we traded. Eberle was a one dementional player, scored goals but was a lazy back checker, soft as hell and useless defensively. I will give you that our GM is useless but is yours far behind??

Trade doesn’t work for a number of reasons, not the least of which is that the value is not there for Draisaitl and the number 10 pick in a deep draft. Also Draisaitl is being paid the “Oiler Premium”, and there may be better value available to the Habs through other trade routes, or even free agency. You proposal would give the Oilers 49 contracts. They already have a surplus of goaltending prospects, it’s unlikely Petry would want to go back to Edmonton.

I like the idea of going younger an having cap space drai is a beast but it's a good trade I'd maybe ask for scherbak too

Unfortunately, MTL won't trade 2 recent 1st round pick in Juulsen and Sherback.
I'd give you Galchenyuk, Petry, Sherback, 2019 first and this year 2nd for Draisatl and this year first. Only Sherback is the difference here, compared to the actual trade I offered.
If you take Juulsen, its Byron instead of Sherback.

Thanks for your coherent response smile There's so much to think when trading. I asked if you don't think thats good enough, to say what MTL could give to land D and the 10th pick.

don't know why Montreal would even want the oilers first round pick. MB would just trade away for an overpaid average player just because he he is native of the Quebec. Forward Drouin 46 points in 77 games. Rookie Dman Sergachov 40 points in 79 games.

I just don’t think it’s in Montreal’s best interest to chase after Draisaitl. The Oilers are in a tough spot, and he is a key piece for them. With RNH and McDavid clicking as well as they have, Leon is now the absolute 2C on a team that is building around its centres. The cost to acquire him from Edmonton would be so great that the Habs would be no further ahead with Draisaitl.

Both teams are in deep, and they probably shouldn’t be trade partners.

The two aren’t really comparable, they’re both bad for different reasons.

As a fan of neither team involved...

This trade is just brutal

EDM is not giving us their 2nd best player
It’s not happening
And if they were to consider it...
MTL would be adding in their 2018 1st,
not the other way around

Habs fans...
Sorry, but u should be selling off assets
Time to tank for a few years
