I believe Montreal would say yes to this trade. Mangiapane and Fox are "A" prospects in my opinion and Bennett needs a fresh start even though he is still very young. I just doubt Clagary would give that much.

Feel like the Sens want more than 32 year old Brouwer cap dump. Ryan has actual value.

I thought about adding a prospect as well from Calgary's side, but it certainly wouldn't be an "A" prospect. That's a huge amount of money to pay for a guy who had 11 goals and 33 points last season and is north of 30. Flames are taking a huge risk here that he can stay healthy and produce with their top two forwards, allowing them to slot Ferland into the bottom six and strengthen the forward group as a whole.

I very nearly added one of Montreal's four 2nd round picks in the upcoming draft to even it out a bit, because I did feel like the Flames were paying a lot here and they don't have a pick until round 4.

Mangiapane is not a "A" prospect. However Fox is . Unless you can find an outlet that thinks says they think he is? I don't see it.

I have no skin in the game as not my teams but saying Brouwer is a cap dump while Ryan actually has value is bold.

Melnyk wants Dorion to add Ryans contract to any Karlsson trade with the idea that if the team takes Ryan they'll bring down the high cost of acquiring Karlsson as a result. Players with value, don't need to do that. Ryan by himself has ZERO value or else Dorion would of moved him already.

I dont see the Montreal or Pittsburgh deals happening from a Flames perspective. Just because Calgary has young defensemen doesn't mean they should trade them away. If anything, Stone is gone this summer and Andersson takes his spot as the 3rd pairing RD.

I'm sure they would, but we'll hang onto him. Already giving you one of the best D prospects out there. And Mangiapane just put up back to back 20+ goal AHL seasons at 20 and 21. Over a point per game this last season. He's not chopped liver as far as prospects go.

Honestly, I don't see the trades happening either. Especially the Andersson deal. I could see them moving Fox if they think he's a college flight risk though. Value is pretty good in all the deals though, in my opinion.
