Really good trades. I think your values are excellent as well. Very good job. I think Dahlin likes to play the right side, I am not sure about Pilut, I know he is left handed. Really good job. It would be really nice if we could sign Tavares and you put a really good price tag on him but, there are so other team competing it will be along shot for any team. But his uncle did play in Buffalo, so we can always dream. nod

You'd massively overpay Wilson for 4 years but then sign Reinhart to a fair value on a bridge deal? I also understand you are clearing cap but Girgensons and Larsson are not going to be that easy to pawn off. Lehner is worth much more than that. Smith is getting a million dollars besides never proving anything at the NHL level, why not resign Redmond at that point too? Its an interesting idea but i dont get these values.

Yeah I agree, that's a complete waste of Robin Lehner

Wilson's only going to get better, he plays the right way and approaches preparation the right way. Hes someone that if you lock down early with a slight overpay it will pay off down the road like what Nashville did with Calle Jarnkrok.

Lehner is a great goalie, he has value but that drops significantly with him being an RFA with a reasonable tender. He could get payed a lot and teams that would be trading for him may not be able to match other offers on him. So I low-balled that trade a little bit on purpose because thst value is unknown.

Also massively is a bit of strong word for 1.5mil lol.... Smith's contract was higher in my mind because it would be incentive based.

Triple his value is massive lol. If he wants more than minimum let him walk. Sabres have enough players like him.

Rarely do teams poach RFAs, even more rare is poaching RFAs teams just traded for. Even then if they can't match, they are guaranteed a 1st rounder in return, if not more, because his salary will be up there. So if that happened theyd end up with more than they spent on him. So thats probably not something a team would worry about.
