I personally think you're robbing Carolina blind

The NYR trade is ok but I need to add bigger assets in the Carolina trade along with Kessel

I dont think we should get rid of Kessel at all but was just thinking out loud at what it would take to just make sense to get rid of him.... but ur rite tho it is too much of a return

I like the John Moore signing. I think he would be a good addition to the team. Although like the others said, I do not think the Kessel trade is too fair.

Carolina trade is awful. They're giving away 3 core pieces for Kessel. And as a NYR fan, I don't do that trade. Kreider is more valuable than Faulk – at least to us.

I agree about Car trade, i dont want to trade Kessel was just showing what id want for him and a future & present starting goalie ...... and i went too far lol, I think the NYR trade is fair IMO. But i will agree that i too love Krieder and always thought with his strait line speed / power/ skill .... he is and would about as perfect as a wing for Sid that there is. As a Pens fan here, i always respected dudes game.

also, What .... what is the outlook for Halverson in NY?? I loved the kid coming out of draft, but havnt really seen him play much.

Halverson has fallen hard on the Goalie Depth chart... He was our best goalie prospect when he was drafted, but right now Shestyorkin, Georgiev, Huska and probably Nell are ahead of him. I don't think he ever makes it to the NHL – probably plateaus as an AHL starter (I could be wrong, of course).

And adding to that, Kreids is not going to be traded. He'll probably receive a letter this year. When he returned after his collarbone surgery he was a beast, and he has been at the Worlds for USA. I won't be surprised if next year he has 30+ goals. I also like him a lot. So I perceive his value to be more than a good defenseman who had a bad season (though I admit a more than possible bias).
