Probably too many moving pieces to be possible, but fun to dream. Have mercy on me, fellow Lightning fans, I am just angry at a team no-show in game 6 and also bored at work.

Why are you transforming the team when they still have another year of being the cup favorites?? Not to mention that you made the team way worse

Cup favorites? Lol, according to who? More top heavy if anything, worse no. Adding another star who can drive a line is never a bad thing. I am just messing around, as Yzerman is probably not moving either of those guys. Miller I do not see staying though, and McDonagh has not been a great fit, but will probably stay next year and then walk (so they can shelter Serg another year).

Point would need to come back for Gaudreau. And that's probably a non-starter for Yzerman at this point.

But also consider that both Johnson and Palat have full NTCs until 2021 at the earliest. So that would make the deal pretty difficult. Especially when both guys are like, "wait, why would I want to leave this TB team right now?"

Stars already have a log jam on the blue line, even if you take Methot. The Stars need a top-6 forward, even with Nichushkin, so there's no net gain by adding Killorn. They would still need to fill a hole in their top-6. Let me know what you think of this, instead:

Dallas Stars

Yanni Gourde
2018 3rd Round Pick

Tampa Bay Lightning

Julius Honka
Jason Dickinson
Martin Hanzal
2018 2nd Round Pick

This gives Tampa Bay two of the Stars better prospects, a top-50 pick in this years draft (which they don't currently have), and a good bottom-6 Center (when he's healthy). This also gives Dallas that top-6 forward that they need to pick up this offseason, without them having to lose their 1st round pick.

Dickinson has top-6 potential and really shines when he centers two scorers. Eventually having play next to guys like J.T. Miller and Brayden Point would produce a 50+ point player. Honka is an extremely solid puck moving defenseman. Pairing him with Sergachev would give Tampa Bay one of the best young top-4's in the league.

Talk to your superstars about that no show...

Stammer and Kuch seemed to act as if it was a preseason game.
