Both the UFA defenseman you signed will be offered more money from other teams so you are unlikely to get them at those prices

Probably Right. Maybe we could add John Moore at 3.5 or so and move Sheary's salary out. A bottom pair of Moore - Oleksiak is still an upgrade. Moore has history with Sully from Ranger-days.

Have you ever actually seen Mike Green play D? I do not see how adding him improved the D.

Moore is a good addition but Green not so much. He wouldn't even be needed on the PP since we have Schultz and Letang. No way they trade Oleksiak as he improved and is our only real physical presence in the defense. Oleksiak and Moore would be a solid 3rd pairing even though both are LH they can also both their off side.
If the Pens do trade Jarry I think more will be involved than getting a 4th line winger
