Detroit would likely take that deal. Not sure about Carolina

Add a second going back to Pittsburgh and you may have a deal

    Five stars for trading O'Reilly.
I did not make this post and I thought as you did that this was favoring Buffalo. Even if one accepts that O'Reilly and 2018 4th is about equal to the 4th over all, then it becomes Bean for 2019 1st, then Buffalo needs to add.

I think the other commenters are undervaluing ROR a bit. That should be a yes from the Hurricanes. On the other hand, I think the Penguins probably value Sheary a bit more than what you have, although the value Imo is probably there in Bealieau.

I would not give up anything for Sheary. He had only 12 assists even though 63% of his playing time was with either Crosby or Kessel.

Numbers aren't the whole story. He is really fast and he can be a consistent 20 goal scorer

    Just my opinion:
    Svechnikov, E = Nylander, A.
    Andreas Athanasiou = McCabe, J.
    2019 2nd round pick (DET) = ?
I may be in error, maybe Nylander will prove to be a top line winger but I think this is just a trade of under-performing prospects.

No one is faster than Bailey or Baptiste, I would keep both of them over Sheary. If B or B played with Crosby, they would each have 25 goals.

    True
The biggest problem with AA is that he is not consistent. Svechnikov had a bad year but can still rebound. A change of scenery could be good for him and Nylander.
They might not be willing to give up a second because although Svechnikov had a bad year, his first year in the AHL was very good.
Nylander has not had a good year yet and Detroit has players that he could excel with.
Rumor is that Detroit is shopping AA and they either want defense or a good forward prospect. This covers both while getting rid of a prospect who hasn't done much. I don't think this trade would happen because Buffalo likely won't give up on Nylander just yet. Although I would love to see it happen

That's a bold statement. I'm no Sabres fan so I don't know much about them, but I find it hard to believe that those guys can 25 even if they're on Crosby's line

If Connor Sheary can score 20 and 18, they could get more. I have watched them play, with more ice time and a the best hockey player in the world centering them they would do it. BTW look at the forwards who have played with Crosby and see what happens to their production once they leave.
