Description
Surprise, we're back here again..

It's like 2016. Go up 3-2 in the ECF, choke away the next 2 games.

Nobody on this team knows when to shoot the goddamn puck. We pass when we need to shoot, and shoot when we need to pass. Kucherov thinks he can dangle through the entire ******* Capitals team. Callahan is the only one who knows what hitting is, and most of his hits are mild at most. We'll change the lines for no reason going into a new series and blame it on "mentality" and "determination" when we lose. Vasilevskiy is the only one who looked like he wanted to make it this far. As UrinatingTree says, we're the new ******* Washington. The new chokers. I expect more of the same next year: sign a washed-up vet to a bloated contract, hype up the playoffs, lose in the middle rounds to a Metro team.

also the national hockey media as a whole needs to die of AIDS

Takeaways from this seasons...

We can't score when it matters. It's either we can't ******* shoot or nothing bounces our way.
Girardi has actually been serviceable.
Coburn however, is a ****ing useless bag of ****ing **** that needs to be ****ing tossed into ****ing Arizona or whoever the **** will take him. Reverse time and get Yzerman to not trade Konecny and Gudas for the ****.
Sergachev needs to play more.
Try reuniting the triplets line.
Cooper needs to stop playing Coburn.
Vasilevskiy needs to play less games.
Kucherov and Stamkos need to show up and finish **** in the big games.
Callahan is worth keeping around even at that contract.
Point has been our most consistent forward the entire year.
Get rid of Coburn.
Please don't resign Sustr.
Actually play Dotchin. He's our most physical player, something we've lacked during the playoffs.

UrinatingTree produces some really good content. The Al Bundy analogy for the Oilers is so, so fitting.

Tampa's window isn't closed, and Yzerman is an actual goddamned magician so I don't think its too unreasonable to say that it doesn't close after next season either. Joseph is slotting in next season, Erne might be a quality bottom-6 player given the offseason to figure his skating out, and you have Foote, Howden, Cirelli, Ingham, AND Volkov on the way. This team is far from pooched, they just ran into a Caps team that finally found a way to shrug off the pressure.

Neither Killorn nor Johnson are immovable contracts. Vasilevskiy, Sergachev, Gourde, and Point aren't even in their primes yet. The Lightning are going to be a dominant team in the Atlantic for years to come my friend. Have a beer for me and enjoy the offseason!

Howden was in the McDonagh trade but otherwise you're pretty much spot-on

IMO, we should bring back Peca. He and Erne should fight over the 12th forward slot, while Kunitz walks.

This is a lineup we should go with at the beginning of the year...

Gourde-Stamkos-Point
Palat-Johnson-Kucherov
Killorn-Cirelli-Miller
Erne/Peca-Paquette-Callahan

Hedman-Dotchin
McDonagh-Stralman
Sergachev-Girardi
Koekkoek

Vasilevskiy
Domingue

On the bright side, our AHL team is going to be even better with the additions of Raddysh and Katchouk.

Totally correct. Watching games 6 and 7 was just pretty f***ing sad. After the Burakovsky's 3-0 goal I just quit and closed the damn tv.

Congrats to WSH. They wanted this more than Tampa did. At least the results speaks from themselves in that regard.

Coburn >>> Girardi. I’d gladly take Coburn back. Coburn for Laughton interest TB fans?

Killorn and Johnson have full no trade clauses, are too talented to threaten to bench, and play for a really good team, so in practice they pretty much are immovable.

Because Laughton won’t have a spot on the team as a Center going forward and he won’t be a top 9 lw so we should get something for him while we can. Coburn gets a much better than manning vet on the back end on only a one year deal.

Laughton will be perfectly fine on our 4th line at either C or LW. He has grit and that’s something we are lacking. As for Coburn, we don’t need him. We are trying to clear space for the kids not fill their spots with old useless players.

Last year it was proven Laughton can’t handle center duties. He’s not good enough defensively which is why Lehtera took his center spot in the playoffs forcing Laughton to LW. If we get a Top 6 LW, 3rd line C this offseason like Hexy should there will be no room for Laughton in the lineup. Don’t get me wrong, I am fond of Laughton, I just don’t see that they’ll have a spot for him going forward.

Where do you see that Laughton is no good at C?

I paid 200 ******* dollars for nosebleeds to see that shitshow!!! None of them shoot the puck when needed! This team of midgets is built for Division titles and Conference banners, not the Cup. Our goalie, bless him, got 0 support! And when Yanni missed that chance, we all knew it was gonna be a shutout. Cooper needs to get his head out of his ass and stop doing hard line matchups! 7 ******* MINUTES LEFT AND CALLY IS OUT THERE WTF! We need size, defense, a new associate coach, and a way to get our guys to shoot the puck. And ffs PLZ NO MORE COBURN! BoltsPoint21's lines are good, but I prefer Erne. Good god.
