EDM wouldn't like that deal at all. None of those players or picks jump off the page for them to lose their 2nd best player. You want Draisaitl, you'll have to be willing to give up something BIG. Quality over quantity in this case.

Detroit would take that in a heartbeat.

I dont like the Detroit trade and just giving away Varone, but I like the idea of Leon, but we are gonna need to give up something big in order to make this trade, I think any Leon deal, may start with Patrick or Sanheim which sucks. I would not trade away those two players at all

If you are trading for elite talent, you need to give something elite back. whether its another elite player or elite prospects or elite/high draft picks, etc.

This is not that, at all. The only thing that has some elite value is the 1st but that should be just the starting point, not the meat of the deal.

A realistic Drai to Philly trade would probably be
Patrick + Provorov + Lindblom
For
Drai + Klefbom

Or

Patrick + Myers
For
Drai

Edmonton is rumored to be in the Tavares sweepstakes so they'll have to free up money somehow. If Tavares is going to cost a team $10+ million a season, someone like Drai will have to be moved. Why not re-coup it in prospects and picks, I was going to put both firsts and next years first in there as well? They have just about $10 million in space with only 16 guys signed for next season.

As far as the DET trade....I haven't been keeping up as much this season with the Phantoms as I usually have....so Phil Varone is a mystery to me, but with our center depth, it should make him expendable.
