Kovalchuk is the last guy I'd ever want on this team... Oh wait no, you found one step below... Ho-Sang... Everything associated with him would be a complete waste, because one smidgeon of that bullshit attitude he has crosses his face, and Q sends him to the Siberian hockey league...

the health is a concern for crawford. but if he's healthy, he's worth a hell of a lot more than a first round pick

I'm sorry but you're going to have to explain this for me to take it seriously. How is a 31 year old goaltender worth a first. let alone more? Only one goaltender has been traded in the last ten years for that kind of haul: Ryan Miller and I'd bet St Louis regrets that trade. 31 year old goaltenders don't get you first round picks.

Yea, well I wouldn't trade Crawford for anything less.....

Only reason why I proposed this is because I read the Islanders were interested in Crawford and that would be my price if there is any truth to the rumor.....

Crawford is invaluable to the Hawks, but if the Hawks can walk away with 3 of the top 12 players in this deep draft then I think it would be worth it - it would be an excellent move for the future - but that would be the price for me to pull the trigger.

And NO, there is no way the Hawks give up #8.

I think Kovalchuk would do just as well as Panarin playing opposite of Kane...... And on a 1 year deal that opens up the possibility of bringing Panarin back next summer....

Look, as an individual I don't like Kovalchuk either - but the guy is still a very good player and the Hawks need a legitimate top 6 LW......... What do you propose? sign van Riemsdyk to a 6 year deal?? lol...... The Hawks need to keep cap space open to sign Schmaltz and DeBrincat (both of whom are going to want 4+ on their next contract)....

And I don't know what's wrong with Ho-Sang - yea, he has attitude problems but he's a low risk high reward player.....

Look at the long term outlook with that roster....... The Hawks would have like 35,000,000 to play with next summer..... They could get DeBrincat & Schmaltz both signed-long term.... They would also have an opportunity to sign Panarin long-term...... Bowman could set this team up for another decade of contending...

Look at the Hawks record this past season WITH Crawford compared to WITHOUT Crawford....

Crawford has been one of the best goalies over the past 6-7 years..

So a team struggled without their starting goaltender? That's true for most teams. I don't think you could even get two seconds for him.

Hahaha, seriously? Stanbo got two 2nds for ******* Andrew Shaw, and everybody already knew he had back issues. Yes Crawford's health is a potential question mark, but if a trade scenario gets as far as discussing picks exchanged, you can bet your ass they've already had an independent medical.

Your team couldn't get two 2nds for Howard. Crawford would definitely fetch more.

Panarin is never coming back. He seems to like CBJ, but he likes money more, and he'll go to whoever ponies up the highest dollar amount. And it won't be Stan.

What does Andrew Shaw have to do with the price of goaltenders in trades? You are not getting a first for a 31 year old injured goalie. And how much time did you actually save by typing Stanbo instead of Stan Bowman?

Also. I'd take a third and some athletic tape for Howard so that's not the insult you imagined it was.....

It means that when someone goes to Stan with something they want from him, he's a pretty great negotiator... When he calls for what he needs though, he kinda sucks... And he doesn't want to trade Crawford, so he'd get paid a solid price by whoever called.

It's called a nickname, you ******* prat. He's referred to plenty of Hawks fans that way. Jaysus you Detroit kids are cranky...

I don't think the low risk high reward thing works with Joel Quenneville. Didn't Panik sit on his ass for somewhere around ten games for sleeping past his alarm and being late to practice? Ho-Sang even looks at Q wrong, which his continued poor behavior at The Isle tells you is inevitably coming, and Q will just fire him out of a cannon on top of the United Center.

This I agree with, I don't think you even sniff both those picks for Crawford. Would need a lot more than that to get both, because that would be an absurd haul.

I think re-signing Panarin as a UFA was Stan's plan all along.

Panarin seems to like the NHL in general - he's had a smile on his face since he got here... I find it hard to believe Panarin would turn down an opportunity to be reunited with Kane...

If it matters many said the same thing about Saad "oh Saad will never be back".......... We all know Bowman wants his players back, sometimes they're too old when he gets them back but Panarin is only 26 - he has plenty of miles left on him.... And honestly, I don't think Bowman would have made the Panarin/Saad trade if Bowman didn't think he had an opportunity to bring him back 2 years later (2019)..

If Panarin is there come July 1st, 2019 Bowman will absolutely try to sign him...

I could care less about Ho-Sang - he's not the major piece of the deal - picks #11 & 12 are...

Crawford & #27 for #11 & 12 would be fine with me - they can keep Ho-Sang..

I would just like to see the Hawks walk out of the draft with 3 of the top 12 players in this draft and if it costs Crawford I'd be fine with that...... That's why you swing a deal with Carolina for Faulk, and if Bowman takes Darling along with him I think the price will be a bit lower..... Then you go and sign a guy like Carter Hutton and a duo of Darling/Hutton I think would be alright..

No one proposed that...

Crawford & #27 for #11 & 12 would be fair.... Maybe the Hawks toss in something else, but it's close..

All I know is the Islanders are looking for a legitimate starting goalie and several rumor mills have floated Corey Crawford's (and Cory Schneider) name(s)........ And being how valuable to the Hawks Crawford is, I just can't see Bowman moving Crawford (in a package) for anything less than those 2 first round picks.

Besides, if the Islanders are truly interested in Crawford you bet they're going to do their due diligence.

The only smile all over his face I remember was the one from when he realized he ticked off the last goal he'd need to get his ******* bonuses...

Let's revisit this, because I'm very certain this does not happen, however... I wouldn't be opposed to being wrong...
