Trading Grubauer and Restocking on Draft Picks

Description
Stole the Grubauer trade idea from SBNation mock draft, where NYI writers made a trade with WSH writers, 11OA for Gruby and the 31OA. I thought it'd be more realistic that the Islanders keep the 11OA to pick before the caps, just in case they have the same prospect in mind.

Imo we have too much depth at forward right now, and in my mind Connolly is the odd man out. If the caps can get a 2nd for him great, if not a 3rd and 4th maybe. I think the Wild could use a 3rd line scoring winger, but maybe another team is more suiting, I just couldn't think of any.

12OA : Joey Veleno
46OA : Benoit-Olivier Groulx

I’d offer 32 OA for Connolly, Sabres could use him in their locker room, especially now

Here is a different look at Connolly trade BUF
    Connolly, B + Orpik, B for Larsson, J. + Guhle, B.
Buffalo gets an on ice mentor for Dahlin and a RW, Washington gets a good face off bottom 6 center and a defensemen prospect. BTW that 32 OA is a lot better than MIN 2019 2nd.
    What do you two think?

I'd rather they kept Guhle from this. Sabres are giving up more with Guhle than with 32 OA, Guhle could be traded 1 for 1 for a top 9 (young top 6 potential) forward. if they did Larsson and 32 OA for Orpik and Connolly maybe. Orpik would have to play on his off side, I dont feel he's a good fit, but it helps the Caps with their cap

    Thank you for your response
So Dahlin who plays RD in Europe you will switch to LD in the NHL and then have Orpik play his off wing as well. Why not have Orpik and Dahlin play their comfortable side?
Only Oshie scored more goals among Washington's RW last year (18 v 15 with 60% more ice time than Connolly), Connolly 0.032 pt/min was also 6th among all Washington forwards, so I guess I am trading Guhle for a top 6 RW which is what you want to do.
I would rather keep the 32 over all, I trust Botterill to make a great pick as he did last year.

The more I read, the more I think he plays left, and you know I've been there with you with Dahlin playing on the right. The way play flows from the D to the forwards, and what they expect out of him, wanting him to drive the offense from the back, he may start at LD. Guhle is more valuable than 32OA, if 32OA is good enough to get Connolly, I'm not going to over spend, that only hurts the Sabres. Im not worried about a pick if your converting it into not only a top 9 forward, but a guy who will shift he culture and has winning experience. All the Sabres ACGMs have tunnel vision on getting younger with no other plans, I want to get better immediately, especially after lucking into Dahlin. They already have a ton of prospects, they need to grow them in a winning culture

I as well and that is why I included Orpik, an ancient mariner but winning attitude who steps up to play his best hockey when the it is for all of the marbles. So does Botterill, I know I have said this before, Pominville, Scandella, Wilson and Nolan each had more play off experience than Kane, Lehner, O'Reilly and Bogosian combined. DATM knew nothing about building a team and drafting. The Sabres are in good hands with Jason and the Argonauts.
