Description
Risto for Nurse ++ ... As much as this pains me it would improve the dynamic of Edm's d-core.
I figured i would hop in on the Lucic trade speculation... oh please god let it be true haha Ryan's deal is 1 year shorter but more money however he is a better player imo so you sweeten the deal and bingo we are both happy for 1 game
Minny needs to sign Dumba and Zucker and to do so theyve gotta free up cap space. Insert Edm and you take a terrible deal (Ennis) with a mildly bad deal for 2 RFA's, a pick and a mildly worse deal
Sell Kassian and Monty for whatever Dale Tallon will offer.

    Very interesting ..... but I would be a NO from the Sabres standpoint..... Risto is a RHD who scores 40+ points and is further along in his development than Nurse...... The draft picks are not that enticing to me...... I would want to see player & prospect be added to the deal other than the picks.

    Buffalo says no.. if they were shopping Risto.. they can get more for him elsewhere.

    I think the biggest issue from the Sabres perspective is that we have no depth at RHD. Our next best righty after Risto is a broken Zach Bogosian, so trading Risto for a LHD doesn't make a whole lot of sense for Buffalo

    I know that players can play on their off hands, but it usually isn't preferred and there's no reason for us to possibly create a problem where we don't currently have one.

    I wouldn't. The Sabres have been rebuilding forever and are ready to win now. This trade would give away our top pairing RHD who scores 40+ points away for a LHD who scores 20 points. We have nobody on the right side after Risto and an abundance of LHD. Giving Risto away for a lesser D on the left side doesnt make much sense for them. The 1st round pick won't help the team for 3 years. There's really nothing that would entice me at all about either Nurse or the 1st round pick.

    IMO the 2019 Draft pick will not get the job done for GMBots..... as others have posted the issue is that Risto is a solid RHD..... this is similar to the ROR situation (ROR is a legit 1or 2 Center but is not flashy and scores in the 60 point range)...... Risto puts up 40+ points, plays the right side, eats a ton of minutes, has a nasty to his game, plays PP & PK but because he plays for a team that is abhorrent in their defensive zone his overall play is downgraded by people outside of the organization and fanbase.....

    I would not trade Risto as I do believe he is not only a top pair RHD but with the addition of Dahlin (who will be another minute eater eventually) this will take pressure off of Risto.... I see Risto as a key piece of getting the Sabres to a contending position.....

    Therefore I would have to see a haul coming back to trade him...... you will not like what I think is fair but here goes (remember I warned you that you will not like this):
