Regarding the Trouba offer sheet. I doubt if he signs it. Winnipeg would match and then Trouba would be beholden with the Jets for five years, or even traded by the Jets, instead of getting his UFA int two years.

just toying around with offer sheets. thats tough for them to sign with connor, laine and others waiting for deals. if buffalo falls on their face again, thats a really nice 1st round pick they get.

Yeah, I don't deny it might be a good deal for Buffalo and Jets. It's Trouba. He taken less money to see he way to free agency as soon as possible. I just don't see him risking his UFA status in the summer of 2020 with a deal that might restrict to the Jets or Sabres for five years. Think that's one reason we have seen so few little signed offer sheets, players don't like signing them.

Coach: "Oh hey Jack.. welcome back for the 2018 season."
Eichel: "Thanks coach... who do you envision on my wings on the top line?"
Coach: "Well we traded your best friend Sam and are putting Connor Sheary and Justin Bailey ther..."

Jack Eichel isn't in 2nd grade.

He is also very good friends with hanifin for what its worth.

He had girgensons, pouliot, pominville on his wing much of the year last year btw.

Your roster is okay. You have to replace Ryan O'Reilliy's scoring. Obtaining the rights of Jacob Trouba cannot be guaranteed. Trading away Rasmus Ristolainen would be a fail. Zemgus Girgensons needs another season to put up or get out.

    thank you for your comments.

I moved oreilly and reinhart from the top 6 and replaced them with nugent hopkins, skinner, gallagher and sheary. i feel i did replace the scoring.

if trouba isnt signed, the ristolainen trade doesnt happen and we look for a guy to man the ship at 2c until middelstadt is ready.

girgensons has had plenty of time. time to move on.

Put Girgensons on a wing, and watch his point production increase.

It's a joke bud. And no... no he didn't. Eichel almost always had Okposo or Sam on the right. Sometimes the left was a toss up but much of the last year and this year he had Kane on the left. Then after the trade it got bumped around a bit.

Girgensons has stagnated in point production. It is time for the Sabres to move on and move forward without Girgensons.

I liked Girgensons when he started out. I am sad Girgensons declined through inconsistencies among the Sabres' inconsistencies. Trade Girgensons to a team not in the spotlight.
