    As a Sabres fan... I don't hate where you are going... but I think Buffalo could get much better for ROR. I know a lot of people have talked about Schwartz for ROR straight up. ROR for Hanifan in CAR.

    I'd do the Lehner for Allen deal every day.

    Fabbri had a career jeopardizing injury, Tage is potential to be a 2C, and Foley is a big unknown. The 1st being like 28 when we own 32 is kind of not as big of a deal. I'm a bigger fan of Barbashev than those prospects named here.

    I'd want to see one of Dunn, Kyrou, or Thomas at least in any sort of ROR trade.

    Well GMBots says thanks for thinking of the Buffalo Sabres but based on your offer ROR will be going elsewhere...... if you want to continue a dialogue GMBots is looking for a Top 6 forward (LW would be ideal) or Top Pair Dman, Top Prospect & Top Pick.....

    Fabbri does not qualify as a top player or prospect due to the injury history;

    Thompson would qualify as a top prospect;

    The #28 pick is a toss up as a top pick yes it is St. Louis top pick but.....

    How about I throw out a counter offer:

    Schwartz
    Thompson
    Allen

    for

    ROR
    Lehner
    Buffalo 2019 3rd Round Pick

    I think the Sabres ROR trade match up better with Carolina, Arizona, Montreal & Calgary.

    Schwartz is too important to STL so that’d probably be a no. Schwartz and ROR are pretty much equals so Thompson wouldn’t have to be included in a trade I don’t think.

    Don’t blame you. I think STL would be hesitant to move any of them though.

    You may be correct..... IMO I think Lehner > Allen..... Thompson > 3rd Round Pick..... ROR a slight edge on Schwartz..

    As I say I do not think the Blues & Sabres are a good fit for a ROR deal.

    I had Barbashev in a previous version I did. I added him in this trade as he probably has more value than Foley.

    I read somewhere how he’d be a good fit and give them some decent depth. That’s why I signed him here.

    I appreciate the change to Barb from Foley but for me as a die hard Sabres fan I can not take the risk on Fabbri..... if he is in the deal I am a no..... GMBots can not miss on what he gets in return for ROR.....

    I dont like any STL prospects other than Kyrou and Thomas, STL doesnt have enough to get the deal done

    I agree with you 100% I just do not see the Sabres/Blues being good fit for a trade..... I would not even do Lehner for Allen.

    Sabres already have Fasching, and he isnt working out in the Buffalo system. Kostin may be good for STL but he does nothing for Buffalo

    Not very attractive for Buffalo. As already said earlier, the deal must be someone one of Thomas, Dunn or Kyrou.

    Eh, similar in theory maybe. Fasching can be chalked up to a bust at this point, he was benched through much of the AHL playoffs. And just because he's flopped doesn't mean every player of his type would follow the same path in Buffalo.

    That being said, I still wouldn't do a ROR trade with him being the main return.

    Fasching was a 4th rounder who hasn't panned out and didn't see NHL/AHL action until he was 21. Kostin was considered a top 10-15 player in his draft year who fell due to an injury. He had a decent 18 y/o season in the AHL and has shown huge upside flashes. Tough to say they're similar just because they're built the same.

    Im talking about build. Fasching is a good player, just not in the Sabres system, if the Sabres had Kostin and Blues had Fasching you would be saying the same thing just reversing the names. Kostin is not much faster than Fasching, nor a much better skater than Fasching, and thats why he doesnt fit. Fasching had a good college career, so clearly its not his ability

    My point is that Kostin is only 19 and has tons of room to grow. His potential is top 6 for sure. However, Fasching was just traded which is sort of ironic.

    yeah we knew Fasching was getting trade furthering my point that he didn’t belong in Buffalos system. They weren’t going to just let him walk
