Why are you signing a 35-year-old to a 3-year deal and giving him 6mil? They could easily use that money to get someone cheaper, younger and better

I think you are dead on with the Kovlachuk money; wish we could do two years though. People forget how good he was. I think you are a bit light on the Sheahan money and a bit overzealous on the get for Kessel in that deal, maybe i am wrong.

Not giving you the 15 OA for a guy that complains when he doesn’t get his way and a throw away player. Yes Sheary is a throw away I haven’t heard different from any Pens fan I’ve spoken to.

I like this and I think its a good trade for both teams. Might have to eliminate one of the draft picks going to the Pens. But I have my doubts Kessel has Florida on his 8 team trade list.

I see Kovalchuk's agent is hard at work on capfriendly trying to drive interest in a 35 year old over the hill slowing down player for 6 mil a year deals for 3 years tears of joy
I think we'll pass

The Pens shouldn't be trading Kessel, but even if they did they can do much better. Signing Kovalchuk is an automatic non-starter.
