Overpay for Murray. He’s not worth an offer sheet. Doubt Tavares will want to sign in MTL. They’re just not an attractive team. And patches for stone is in Habs favour. Stone is younger and an RFA where as patch probably won’t resign in Ottawa next year. They already have duchene and Karlsson as notable UFAS

I completely disagree with the trade. Max Pacioretty has a way higher market value than Mark Stone. We're talking about a consistent 30 to 39 goal scorer every season except last year. You can definitely squeeze more out of that trade.

Sounds like something Hoffman's girlfriend would say. If time was going backwards maybe.

Sounds like, you need to see what comparable players went for on the market buddy. #RickNash

Patches had 37 points in 64 games, Stone had 62 points in 58 games. Stone had more assists (42) than Patches had points. he's also 3 years younger. never in a million years would Ottawa take that deal.

Tavares is most likely staying put. Lamoriello is making all the right moves to try and keep him.
I would also anticipate that Trotz will be announced as the new coach of NYI as soon as feasibly (contractually) possible.
