So sens give up a top Centre prospect, a top RW prospect, and a pick that is likely Filip Zadina? absolutely horrible for Ottawa

And the Montreal trade is equally lopsided in favour of the Canes. Perhaps we have different definitions of "fair".

None of these deals are remotely good, but since these are the 3 most desperate GM's in hockey, anything is possible.

LoganOllivier is the only one that understands.....Bergevin, Chiarelli & Dorion haven't been involved in a 'fair' trade for quite some time.

Then call it what it is. "Fleecing the Canadians, Senators, and Oilers". And Ottawa WAS desperate to get rid of Hoffman. And Melnyk's always desperate to get rid of salary. They're never desperate to move blue chip prospects.

If Melnyk's never desperate to move blue chip prospects - what would you call his payment for Duchene...?

Melnyk had the option to trade Turris directly to the Predators - for the exact same package Colorado recieved.

Given this fact - we can conclude that Melnyk paid the following price for Duchene:

- 1st Round Pick in 2019 (1-10 overall)
- 1st Round Pick in 2017 (28th overall)
- 2nd Round Pick in 2014 (42nd overall)
- 2nd Round Pick in 2016 (47th overall)
- 2nd Round Pick in 2018 (58th overall)
- 3rd Round Pick in 2019 (63-70 overall)
- Andrew Hammond

That seems like a man whose pretty desperate to move blue chip prospects !

Who else would give up two 1st rounders, three 2nd rounders & one 3rd rounder for a guy just put up 41 points in 77 games & went (-34).

FINAL NOTE:

I did call it what it is - "Fair Dealings" was sarcastic - so the title means exactly what you stated "Fleecing the Canadians, Senators and Oilers".
