I like this idea. the only thing though is if im trying to trade for a defenseman from Carolina I would rather have Hanifin than Faulk. Hanifin would it right in with the young players

Cant see the Sabres trading Lehner..... Ulmark is not ready for the starting job and Johnson is a sub par backup. Lehner performed really well for Buffalo this season and he deserves a chance on a good team.

Lehner had a tough season in Buffalo, but a good one the season before. Management looks poised to get Ullmark in the nhl and while I agree we need a goalie that can play 40-50 games if Ullmark struggles, I don’t think Lehner is that guy. No attachment to new GM, tough attitude, sub-par play all lead to I think both sides walking away

Especially with him being good friends with Eichel.

Ok just to get this straight, ROR is not getting you 3rd overall. Let alone adding in a top four defensive prospect, a B+ goalie prospect, a potential top 6 forward prospect AND an NHL roster player. Alzner isn’t the greatest but one bad season on a bad team doesn’t mean he can’t play anymore, he is 28, he can still play.

Botterill won’t get close to this return for ROR
