Description
Leafs improve defence considerably but have to pursue cheaper centre options.

Nylander traded due to his likely salary number too high.

Small increase in salary cap coming IMO.

Matthews signs for 10 million per for 8.
Marner signs for 7 for 7.
Kapanen sign 2.5 for 3.

Also left room to add at deadline in case of injuries and/or deep playoff run.

Nino Niederreiter and Dumba would cost like 4 mil more than Nylander and Nylander alone would be better than those two. Dumba+ is worth Nylander and I want nothing to do with 40pts per season 5.25 player (Nino). That Minnesota deal is so lobsided to Minnys favour it hurts

I disagree, Dumba is better d man than any of the current Leafs.
Although liljergren could pass him in time.

And I think Nino's production will increase playing with Matthews.

Overpaid for the oft injured de Haas. Why even acquire Niederetter, he's really not needed. Plekeanc and Stajan at centre? The team is worse with fewer track picks.
