        overpaying sobotka on the 4th line. might be better off finding a higher end player for the same money. also hoping that marner takes 6.75 but other than that looks sick

        How do you get sobotka and a better pick for a 3rd pick?? Minnesota says no, they gave up tuch and haula in order to keep dumba, hes not going anywhere for what you're willing to give

        Leafs don't need Sobtoka. Don't think there is enough long term value for Minni in that trade, for a RHD.
        With a roster of 20, this really doesn't work cap wise.
        Regarding Grundstrom. If the Leafs don't sign Tavares and Nylander moves to centre, I could see Grundstrom moving to LW with Matthews and Marner as a line this year. Hyman moves to RW. Hyman played with Matthews as rookie, so no reason why Grundstrom couldn't either.

        While I agree on the lack of long term value for Minne, that is also an extreme price to pay to get a right shooter. The Leafs are better off keeping that package, slotting Leivo into Sobotka's spot and moving a D to their weak side. Maybe have Rielly and Gardiner play together.
