Description

Line 1: Skinner and Eichel both bring speed and a lot of talent to a scary first line. Reinhart is up on this line due to the good chemistry he and eichel have when they play together
Line 2: Give Mittelstactt the minutes and the right line mates and he will produce. I think he'd do things with this line.
Line 3: Can be looked at as an overpayment for Rask/Skinner in the trade but Rask is a borderline 2nd center. Also all Swedish line to give Olofson and Nylander a chance to explode onto the scene.

First of all Five stars for Trading O'Reilly.
I presume this trade is made after July 1, 2018 because a cash poor team as Carolina could never afford to pay bonus due to O'Reilly. Now I would also have to presume Botterill was able to sign Skinner to a longer term contract.
Since that is a 2020 2nd I can further presume that Botterill expects the team to make the playoffs as Pilut, Smith, and Nelson take the place of Scandella, Girgensons, Hunwick and Pominville. He will also be able to sign other free agents because Pominville and Moulson contracts will have expired.
I think the trade has possibilities and just as Colorado was able to make the playoffs once they removed their final cancer (Duchene), Buffalo should be able to do the same after cutting away its cancer.
